Dance
We offer dance classes in a variety of styles with classes for all ages and abilities from our Little Dancers class to Beginner Adults and graded syllabus classes. As a Registered Teacher of bbodance we can offer exams. Throughout all classes the use of props and technology are used to aid students' engagement and learning. We believe all students respond well to interactive learning and have great enthusiasm from feedback given through different approaches. Each class prepares the students for the next level including complimenting each students' progression to different genres. All classes aim to give the students the fundamentals to ensure they are learning to their individual potential safely, while having fun and making friends along the way.
Modern Jazz
Jazz dance is a performance dance technique and style that first emerged in the United States in the early twentieth century. Jazz dance may refer to popular jazz or to Broadway or theatrical jazz. Both genres build on African-American styles of dancing that emerged with jazz music. We use bbodance Modern Dance syllabus for grades Pre-Primary to Grade 2, which sets the students' technique and understanding of basic dance steps and movements. Once a student has completed Grade 2 in either Ballet or Modern we then progress onto the bbodance Jazz syllabus.
